About the Candidate

I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree (2003), for which I took courses in Accounting, Business Communication, and Business Law.

I have over 20 years’ experience lead generation, in reaching out to potential clients, in cultivating relationships and understanding client needs, in developing repeat sales, and in planning and hosting training workshops. I have done this in the international investment industry (forex and precious metals), in national utilities (electricity and appliances) and in education and outreach (business training conferences).

I have worked in (and for companies based in) Pakistan and Malaysia; the companies based in Malaysia worked in English and had a global client base, but focused heavily on the Asian market. Most recently, for example, as Manager of Delegate Acquisition and reporting directly to the Group CEO and Head of Events, I was responsible for developing sales processes, staff training, event targets, and business revenue for numerous conferences and training workshops in the financial, insurance, food, and anti-fraud industries. In addition to the many international conferences and workshops based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I have also planned and led components of events in Singapore and the Philippines.

In addition to English, I read, write, and speak Urdu fluently and read and speak Punjabi fluently. I have worked in many international and multi-cultural settings. I am self-motivated and target-driven and am very comfortable, experienced, and successful in reaching out to and communicating with potential clients.
