Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Clinical Research Assistant III. The Research Assistant will contribute to our multi-center, multi-year, and multi-faceted rheumatology research studies. The candidate will report directly to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Sibel Aydin.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
•Patient Recruitment: Screen patients, obtain consent and enroll participants into studies, coordinate follow-up appointments as necessary.
•Track study compliance, update study logs and complete study forms.
•Conduct telephone follow-ups.
•Assist with data collection, data entry and data cleaning.
•Help prepare reports and presentations.
•Manage all aspects associated with the Ottawa Health Science Research Ethics Board (OHSN-REB), including completing and submitting annual renewals and amendments as required.
•Facilitate set up of contracts and study agreements.
•Assist with grant applications and submissions.
•Phlebotomy skills

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•2 years’ experience in a clinical research environment
•Bachelor’s degree or several years of relevant clinical experience (e.g. RN or PT).
•Evidence of training in Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5, and/or Device Regulations, as applicable Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Council on Harmonization – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
•Ability to build and maintain internal and external professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team.
•Proven ability to work independently and navigate competing priorities.
•Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness in the development, implementation of projects, and ability to evaluate progress, action areas of improvement.
•Commitment to quality and excellence, attention to detail in ensuring compliance with the protocol.
•Effective communication skills (written and oral)
•Strong computer and data entry skills: including experience with electronic data capture.
•Experience in arranging monitoring activities with the sponsor.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Clinical research certification (ACRP or SOCRA)
•Knowledge of TOH processes for arranging diagnostic imaging, investigational therapy, and patient follow-up visits
•Experience in clinical medicine.
•Bilingualism considered an asset.

Contract Details:
This is a 1-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
Salary: Min: $29.964 – Max: $40.647
