· Distinct expertise in research labs during BSc (Molecular Biology/Microbiology), PGDip (Molecular Biology) and MSc (Cancer Biology) programs incorporating molecular and microbiological techniques such as cell cultures, SDS-PAGE, PCR, Western blot, microscopy, etc.
· Trained observation of quality control standards following certified protocols and occupational recommendations, being a part of an institution-wide accreditation process.
· Computer literacy using MS office programs and CoPath (i.e., an electronic database for record keeping and tracking.)
· Practiced time management and organizational skills evident by working in an extensive medical center comprised of 4 hospitals handling numerous samples (i.e.,100+) daily.
· Efficiently functioning as a team player with outstanding interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills demonstrated by working within an intricate network (i.e.,10+ technologists in one lab with constant collaborations with 50+ other staff members as well as regular interactions with patients.)
· Distinguished ability to work independently with minimum instructions beyond training, proven by the very nature of the profession where precision and accuracy are required.
