·       Obtained informed consent from the parents/guardian of the children included in the study

·       Carried out research to determine the relationship between hemoglobin genes variants (HbAA, HbAC HbAS, HbSC, and HbSS) and G6PD genes (G376A (rs1050829) and G202A (rs1050828)) and the outcome of clinical malaria to test whether epistatic interactions exist between the two genes and the possible effect of such interactions on the outcome of malaria in Ibadan, south-west Nigeria

·       Collaborated with the team to conduct hemoglobin typing, DNA extraction, G6PD typing, and Hematological tests

·       Performed Statistical analyses using SPSS software (Version 16.0), and Statistical significance was defined as P≤ 0.05.
