Victimology Research Centre, Ottawa, ON — Research Assistant
October 2021– October 2022
●        Conducted extensive online research to identify relevant literature and resources related to victimology and related fields.

●        Transcribed and coded research data on victimization, post-traumatic change, vicarious resilience, and service provider wellness and related topics, and analyzed the resulting data using qualitative and quantitative software such as Atlas. Ti.

●        Conducted interviews with victim service workers in the field of victimology to gather qualitative data and gain insights into victimization experiences and related issues.

●        Utilized qualitative research methods such as content analysis, thematic analysis, and grounded theory to analyze interview and focus group data.

Africa Scholars Forum, Boston, MA — Research and Program Assistant
September 2018 – May 2019
●        Conducted academic research on socio-political issues in African Development to support Associate Dean Rita Kiki Edozie and the mission of the Africa Scholars Forum.

●        Lead the planning and successful execution of the first-ever Africa Day at UMass Boston. Coordinated complex event planning, budget preparation, vendor selection, financial management, social media set up and maintenance.

●        Supervised and directed graduate and undergraduate student leaders and volunteers; and on the day of the event managed a crowd of over 100 faculty, staff, students and community.

KadAfrica, Uganda/Remote — Program Coordinator
January 2015 – February 2017
●        Collaborated with the CEO to research potential funding opportunities for KadAfrica’s programs and projects, which involved identifying and evaluating various grants and donor opportunities.

●        Managed KadAfrica’s social media presence by coordinating and scheduling posts and collaborating with the media team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.

●        Developed and implemented a monitoring and evaluation plan to assess the progress and impact of KadAfrica’s ongoing programs and provided regular updates to the team.

●        Acted as the primary point of contact for public relations by handling media inquiries, preparing press releases, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, I served as the first point of contact for volunteers, providing them with guidance and support throughout their involvement with the organization.
