• Currently volunteering as a Community Engagement Committee Member to further inform, propose and help implement programming, policies, procedures within the organization.

 

• Investigating how the Covid-19 pandemic and social isolation have affected the overall health of queer communities through a community-based free volunteer training program for queer youth in Ontario.

• Developing skills and research experience by being trained in quantitative and qualitative research skills, social determinants of health, HIV prevention and sexual health.

• Cultivating a firmer understanding about how the history of racism and ablism in health research affect access to healthcare, sexual pleasure, and wellness by addressing health inequities and knowledge gaps.

• Assisting in creating a mental health promotion initiative consisting of three interactive arts-based sessions, which incorporate pottery, painting, and poetry to improve the mental well-being of queer men aged 16 and above.
