The National Arts Centre (NAC) is Canada’s bilingual, multi-disciplinary home for the performing arts. The NAC presents, creates, produces, and co-produces performing arts programming in various streams—the NAC Orchestra, Dance, English Theatre, French Theatre, Indigenous Theatre, and Popular Music and Variety—and nurtures the next generation of audiences and artists from across Canada.

Key activities:
The server will be accountable for delivering a professional and impeccable food and beverage service to the assigned customers. You will also be accountable for assuring the tables are properly set for the service hours.

Required qualifications:
• High school diploma;
• “Smart Serve” Certificate;
• Two (2) years’ experience in a similar fine dining position;
• Fluency in both official languages is required;
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrate ability to work efficiently under pressure;
• Good working knowledge of P.O.S. system (i.e. Squirrel);
• Knowledge of fine food and wine is important;
• Flexibility to work within an irregular schedule;
• Physical work will be required;
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis;
• Must be able to push/pull carts weighing up to 100lbs;
• Must be able to stand & exert well-paced mobility for up to 12 hours;
• A past record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality is a requirement.*
