What’s the ask?

The Administrative Support Clerk is responsible for ensuring the prompt management of the external and internal mail. The successful candidate will assist with opening, sorting and distribution of incoming mail and faxes as well as scanning and indexing daily mail. The Administrative Support Clerk will also be required to provide support to the reception.

Specifically, the Administrative Support Clerk will:

Possess outstanding interpersonal skills to provide an exceptional level of Customer Service to internal and external stakeholders
Foster a strong working relationship within the team, department, and organization
Able to multi-task and problem-solve, knowing when redirection is needed
Assure proper sorting, distribution, and handling of incoming correspondence
Monitor multiple inboxes for required printing, scanning, and indexing
Audit scanned documents regularly for quality assurance
What does it take?

High school diploma
Previous office experience and mailroom experience, a strong asset
Highly developed customer service skills
Capable of typing 60 / wpm with high accuracy.
Advanced writing skills to respond to emails professionally;
Attention to detail & organized self-starter;
Ability to learn different technological systems;
Capacity to respect work deadlines;
Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
Positive, can do attitude
Knowledge in Windows, MS Office, e-mail and internet required.
Bilingualism preferred (English & French)
Due to the nature of this role, it does require daily attendance in our Ottawa office at 1420 Blair Towers Place
