JOB SUMMARY

 

The Programmer/Analyst, Business Systems is responsible for delivering enterprise cloud technology solutions and for identifying potential business solutions, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training and providing post-deployment support. The Programmer/Analyst, Business Systems works closely with internal customers and system administrators to design, develop, and deploy solutions while identifying and implementing continual enhancement initiatives to meet customer expectations and company goals.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop business solutions in the areas of customer relationship management and associated enterprise applications in accordance with best practices for effective operations
  • Execute multiple project initiatives and monitor status against project plan
  • Provide thorough and timely troubleshooting and root cause analysis to recommend and coordinate resolution activities for systems and processes
  • Design, develop, test, administer, document, train and provide support for assigned systems and integrations
  • Develop and maintain system and related process documentation
  • Determine task/project scope and prepare detailed requirements documentation, test plans, and system configuration documentation based on stakeholder needs
  • Analyze system data to ensure data integrity and to identify opportunities for business process and system improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and re-engineer applications aimed at increasing the efficient use of corporate data management information systems
  • Investigate and analyze problems and business requirements, including impact analysis of change, on all systems and business areas and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Review and recommend system, reporting and business process enhancements
  • Provide direction to internal and external users and assist in the effective and efficient resolution of issues
  • Maintain databases to include backups, disaster recovery and database support such as status checks, critical patch updates, database tuning, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Participate in code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure code quality and appropriate design patterns are being utilized
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders within IT and across the organization with respect to security, integrated systems, change management and other areas of potential impact in accordance with corporate IT processes
  • Ensure corporate data integrity by securing access to confidential and strategic information, and ensure system compliance with the Affiliate Relationships Code
  • Ensure privacy by design
  • Advise application development and support teams on optimal use of database and transaction management technology through the creation and communication of standards and instructions of critical application components
  • Lead requirements gathering including development and delivery of solution presentations and prototype demonstrations
  • Perform business process modelling from both a technical and operational process perspective, including, architecture diagramming, detailed functional requirements, and detailed design documents
  • Assist in the configuration, optimization, automation and administration of various CRM modules
  • Other related duties as required

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the IT field, preferably in application support
  • Minimum of 3 years developing and maintaining databases related to customer relationship management (CRM) solutions using
  • Salesforce, FinancialForce, Field Services, Community Experience, CPQ, Service Cloud and other applications
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, process automation flows, custom views, and other content of intermediate to high complexity
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience working with large data sets in detail
  • Experience with financial databases and interaction between subsystems and tables
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with software development life cycle principles and ITIL practices
  • Business Analyst, Salesforce administrator, consultant, development, or Salesforce certifications considered assets
  • Strong quantitative analysis, abstract problem solving, and project management skills
  • English essential, both oral and written; Bilingualism (French/English) or other languages considered an asset
