Location: 250 Tremblay Road, Ottawa, Ontario – Employee must follow the Agency’s Hybrid working model
Language: Bilingual Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Clearance: Reliability

Core Responsibilities:

·         Source candidates using a variety of search methods and tools to build a robust candidate pipeline

·         Review and screen resumes and job applications in addition to performing pre-screens

·         Schedule interviews with hiring managers

·         Perform employment reference checks

·         Improve and redesign the continuous recruitment processes with a focus on client satisfaction

·         Attend career fairs and various outreach events to promote employee opportunities within DSSI

·         Remain current on external/internal talent pools, talent personas, salary levels and other trends

·         Working in a fast-paced recruiting environment with the ability to take initiative with minimal direction

·         Updating and maintaining various internal databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and analyzing data to identify recruitment trends and staffing gaps

·         Collaborating with stakeholders, managers and teams in a positive and professional manner

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Recruiter, preferably in a digital environment
  • Deep understanding of Talent Management strategies
  • Familiar with sourcing platforms such as: LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook and Github
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Word)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Previous Government experience and knowledge of platforms such as GCConnex and GCCollab
