Job Description
The Research Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Hematology Research team as well as to CanVECTOR, a national research network.
Supporting the Hematology research team, key roles will include:
•Human Resources support (timesheet coordination, on-and-off boarding, contract renewals)
•Assistance with research regulatory processes (preparation, tracking and maintenance of study documents, Research Ethics Board (REB) materials)
•Providing general clerical and administrative support (filing and archiving, planning and coordinating meetings, taking minutes)
•Providing other administrative support to staff and scientists as required.
Supporting CanVECTOR, key roles will include:
•Coordination of meetings (scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing meeting packages, taking minutes)
•Administering VERDICT, a web-based platform (creating and tracking user accounts, responding to inquiries, providing information to users)
•Other administrative support as required
Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•Proficiency in English
•A post-secondary degree or diploma
•5 years of administrative assistant experience, preferably in a clinical or research environment
•Strong knowledge of MS Office with intermediate skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
•Good judgement, initiative and excellent interpersonal skills
•Experience scheduling meetings using Outlook, Zoom, Teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with research teams and/or in a clinical research environment
• Bilingual (English/French)
Contract Details:
This is a 1-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
Salary: Min:$28.244/hr – Max:$33.265/hr
