We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic software team.
This role is crucial in automating the Black Duck process, ensuring the security of our code base, and providing expert guidance on security tools and practices. You will be responsible for integrating security measures into our fiber optic backbone hardware devices and supporting teams across multiple locations.
This person will lead with expertise in:

Automate Black Duck Process:

Lead the automation of Black Duck scans for source code security.
o
Develop and maintain scripts to push and consume content from Black Duck.

Security Expertise:
o
Utilize Black Duck for source code analysis and security scanning.
o
Provide general security guidance and best practices to the team.

Technical Integration:
o
Work with fibre optic backbone hardware devices to ensure secure software integration.
o
Collaborate with the software team to input products on hardware platforms.

Support and Collaboration:
o
Support over 100 team members in Ottawa and over 100 team members in India.
o
Offer expert advice on security tools and methodologies.

Code Base and Technologies:
o
Work with Jenkins, Docker, OpenStack, Python, Angular, and Java for various tasks.
o
Handle firmware development using Python, C/C++, and Java.

Automation and Security:
o
Focus on automation with Python as the primary language.
o
Ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of development.

Platform: Work predominantly in a Linux-based environment.

Required skills and experience:
• Proven experience with Black Duck or similar security tools.
• Strong background in security automation.
• Proficiency in Python for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Docker, OpenStack, Angular, and Java.
• Experience with firmware development in Python, C/C++, and Java.
• Solid understanding of Linux-based systems.
• Ability to provide expert guidance on security practices and tools.
