Summary
- Reporting to the Senior Manager, Project Accounting, the Business Analyst, will be a member of the BSG accounting team and contribute to the process automation and process improvements in the BSG teams
Responsibilities
- Review business processes and identify opportunities for automation solutions;
- Identify, document, design and build process automations using ‘citizen developer’ toolset;
- Perform business analysis functions including requirements gathering, documentation, process design, functional and technical specifications development, testing and training activities;
- Coordinate design, build and delivery activities with supporting technology groups;
- Lead smaller initiatives including planning, documenting, and executing project plans;
- Proactively suggest ways to improve the effectiveness and performance of processes and procedures related to the ERP application;
- Communicate and collaborate with decision-makers, system owners, and end users to analyze information needs and functional requirements;
- Contribute to the development of automation process with internal RPA team. Requirements
- Experience working as a business analyst/business systems analyst;
- Working knowledge of process automation tools such as Alteryx and Power Automate;
- Demonstrated experience documenting “Current State” processes and then based on business requirements creating the appropriate “Future State” business processes;
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous or changing situations; ability to manage time effectively;
- Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them to code and to build processes;
- Ability to identify problems and deal with situations and issues proactively;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with executives, managers, and subject matter experts;
- Ability to “think outside the box”, and embrace a dynamic, complex, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment; • Ability to build effective Process Maps quickly and easily;
- Work with IT as needed to implement efficient solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Accounting, or related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a business analysis, programming or finance capacity;
- Experience with D365 ERP solution considered an asset;
- Knowledge of Excel Macros (VBA) considered an asset;
- Knowledge of Lean six sigma concepts an asset;
- BA Certification such as Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP) an asset.
