Job description

Under general supervision, the Installer is responsible for the professional, efficient and clean installation of system furniture and case goods as per manufacturers’ specifications. Installers represent ABI to the company’s clientele and as such have a responsibility to act in an appropriate manner and to be respectful of client personnel at all times.

Job Functions

  • Install system furniture and case goods as per manufacturers’ specifications
  • Understand internal procedures and complete necessary paperwork
  • Assist with on-the-job training of Helpers
  • Help with garbage disposal on job sites
  • Maintain contact with Crew Chief or Dispatch to ensure optimal use of time
  • Assist warehouse personnel in maintaining an orderly warehouse environment
  • Facility maintenance and cleaning as requested
  • Understand and respect health & safety rules and take all necessary precautions to ensure healthy work environment and habits
  • Provide reliable services (show up when requested, do not leave until job is complete)
  • May be called upon to act as Crew Chief’s second; assume responsibility of leading crew in Crew Chief’s absence
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Secondary School diploma
  • Valid driver’s license (asset – may be required as condition of employment)
  • Requires use of personal vehicle or access to reliable transportation
  • Skills Requirements – Essential
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy and awkward materials, up to 80 lbs without assistance
  • Good verbal communications skills
  • Teamwork and cooperation skills
