Catholic Centre for Immigrants – Ottawa

About the Company

The non-profit Catholic Center for Immigrants (CCI), who has been serving refugees and immigrants for 65 years. CCI is a bridge between the 7,000 immigrants and refugees who come to Ottawa each year and the community. We provide programs and services to help newcomers settle and integrate. We also work in the community to promote the value of a diverse and more welcoming community for all.

The Ottawa Local Immigration Partnership (OLIP) is a part of CCI.  OLIP is a collaborative, community initiative designed to strengthen Ottawa’s capacity to attract, settle, and integrate immigrants. In 2012, OLIP’s Civic and Institutional Capacity Development Sector Table created the Equity Ottawa partnership, a collaborative initiative co-led by OLIP and Centretown Community Health Center, and involving twelve OLIP partners in municipal, health, education and social services sectors, working together to strengthen their capacities for equity and inclusion. Since then, with support from partners and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Equity Ottawa has grown to include 20 organization partners and more than 100 organization and community stakeholders.
